The role a Senior Business Analyst plays is vital to our decision making and project delivery. We have worked to establish a Business Analysis practice that delivers value across the organisation. To help deliver on Fire and Emergency’s values the EPMO team are expanding our business analysis capability. The Business Analysis, has been built on the principles of leaving things better than we found them and Kiritaki Tuatahi, using design thinking to deliver outcomes for our stakeholders.
To better support the organisation in delivering change we are looking to appoint a permanent Senior Business Analyst to:
- Define problems and assist in developing solutions
- Deliver benefit-led project deliverables
- Lead requirement gathering
- Complete current state and gap analysis
- Support building the ongoing development of the organisation’s Business Analysis capability
The projects we are involved in are as diverse as the communities we serve; you will have the chance to work with a range of stakeholders as we continue to build our processes and practices for use across the organisation.
Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you’ll bring to the role: We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our practice within the newly formed Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) to help us deliver on mahi that matters. By joining our team as a Senior Business Analyst, you will leverage your professional curiosity and aptitude for challenging the status quo. Your previous work experience will demonstrate that you are organised, collaborative, can build relationships, while dealing with ambiguity.
To be successful in this role, we’d expect you will have:
- Strong previous Business Analysis experience or directly transferable skills from similar role (e.g. Senior Business Advisor)
- An ability to build collaborative working relationships with a wide range of people across an organisation
- Experience developing business cases and strong documentation and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Experience working autonomously or leading pieces of work across a broad range of projects
