The Water Services Authority - Taumata Arowai is the water services regulator for Aotearoa New Zealand. It is a Crown entity governed by a Minister-appointed Board and advised on Maori interests and knowledge by Te Puna, a statutory Maori Advisory Group. Our responsibilities are to protect and promote drinking water safety and related public health outcomes - we regulate drinking water suppliers on behalf of the public. We also have an oversight role in relation to the environmental performance of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater networks.

We're seeking an experienced Business Analyst to fill a newly established role within our Technology group. In this role you'll be undertaking business analysis as well as supporting testing work for the continual development of our business applications.
Working closely with the Team Leader Business Applications, the Business Analyst will:
- Develop, and maintain, strong relationships across the organisation to support business needs including facilitating workshops and mentoring business capability throughout the organisation
- Undertake basic system testing and coordinate user testing
- Support business analysis services, particularly for our core stakeholder interface and regulatory tool Hinekorako
- Proactively seek opportunities for systems improvement though needs, gaps and cost impact investigation and analysis

We are looking for someone with:
- A demonstrated ability to identify, investigate, analyse and document business requirements, issues and opportunities
- Experience developing and executing test cases and scripts independently
- An understanding of business applications, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 base applications (or similar ERP/CRM)
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
