Full-time position based in Wellington, with flexibility to work remotely on a hybrid basis.Mō tēnei tūranga - About the role: Reporting to the Team Leader Reporting and Insights, you will work as part of a small team gathering and interpreting requirements, responding to data requests, data extraction and report writing. There will be a balanced mix of working with the tech and engaging with our broader People Branch team and the organisation. With your excellent communication and time management skills, you will have the ability to make the most of your business knowledge and analytical skills to drive improvements and truly add value to our team and organisation.Your day to day will be:
- Managing and supporting daily, weekly and monthly report production
- Providing day to day support for the team
- Undertake ad-hoc data extraction, analysis and report production
- Various project work as required
- Maintaining strong working relationships across our business
Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you'll bring to the role: Bring your prior experience managing data and reporting to our Reporting and Insights team. You will have to love the detail, ensuring that employee data is reported accurately. Our ideal candidate will have experience in the HR/Payroll fields, providing reports for teams such as payroll, recruitment, health and safety, and other parts of the organisation. You will have excellent communication skills, a confident engagement style, and be known to build strong relationships.To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will have:
- Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel
- Experience as an HR Data Analyst, Business Analyst or similar
- Experience with an HRIS
- Proven experience developing and refining HR-related reporting
- Curiosity about how things work and will look for opportunities to make things better and more efficient for our team, and wider organisation
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communications, and collaborative approach
- Responsive and proactive in all you do

The salary range for this role is $81,524 - $90,583 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.Ko wai mātou - Who are we?
