This is an exciting opportunity to join a team building the people and technology capabilities to operate a best practice safety camera system across our roading network.
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity In this hybrid role you will be responsible for leading the team in Agile planning and daily stand-ups, interface with delivery teams across the wider Safety Camera Systems programme, and pick up business analysis deliverables to help establish a new business function. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing fit-for-purpose Business Analysis services to projects and initiatives, tailoring what you deliver and how you deliver it to business needs, by using a variety of tools, techniques, processes, and documentation
- Planning and advising Scrum implementations within the Mobile Safety Camera Project team
- Helping the Mobile Safety Camera Project team members and wider stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work
- Coaching the Mobile Safety Camera Project team members in self-management and cross-functionality
- Facilitating team Scrum events and ensure that they are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox
- Support techniques for effective (quarterly) Goal and (sprint) Epic definition and Backlog
Ko koe tēnei | About you We are looking for a seasoned Senior Business Analyst with Scrum Master experience who has worked on large scale programmes of work in a government setting. With your pragmatic approach to Agile ways of working and balanced overview of how programmes operate in a hybrid setting you need to hit the ground running.To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Scrum Master experience
- Experience in the Data Analytics domain
- Advanced level of expertise in Jira
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Coaching and facilitation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred or comparable professional experience.
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector. The purpose of this group is to contribute to an effective, efficient, and safe land transport system in the public interest and to: Provide - oversight of the effectiveness of regulatory interventions on outcomes.Inform - relevant and responsive regulation by regular monitoring and review.Ensure - effective compliance monitoring and management processes of regulated parties to enable system access for people, devices, and networks, by risk targeted and cost-effective regulatory management of the land transport system. The role of the Regulatory Strategic Programmes team (the Team) is to establish and drive the delivery of strategic and operational improvements programmes that sit within the regulatory portfolio and provide strategic direction and leadership for Waka Kotahi in the delivery of agreed initiatives. The team will directly lead the programme and project delivery teams and be responsible for their overall delivery.
