Te Au Reka - Improving access to justice for all New Zealanders

Sector Insights
Sector Insights supports justice sector leadership (including Ministry leaders, justice sector agency leaders and the judiciary) with performance reporting, data analysis, ‘what-if' modelling, research, and evaluations to inform decision making on strategy, prioritisation, and investment.
Te Haeata/The Opportunity
You will be reporting to the Manager – Digital Design within Te Au Reka but your home team will be within the Sector Insights Group. You will be responsible for working with Sector Insights Management Team to develop a work programme that will deliver to key outcomes to ensure Sector Insights ability to continue to deliver data-driven advice and insights.
The Digital Design team is responsible for providing support for the initial design and development of the Te Au Reka service, that will be rolled out in 3 phases. The Business Analyst will work to ensure the ongoing Digital Service of Te Au Reka meets required business outcomes, delivers value and is able to be sustainably supported.
You will be responsible for analysing, defining, and documenting key stakeholder data requirements to inform data model design and support processes for the delivery of analytics and insights. This opportunity is more suited to a technical business analyst.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, define and document key stakeholder data requirements to inform data model design and support processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and understand issues and goals.
- Develop comprehensive documentation of business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered effectively.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of project goals and progress.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication.
Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience
To be successful in the role, you will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, preferably in enterprise data warehouse and reporting environments.
- Experience in using technical documentation templates and methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in gathering complex technical and business requirements, then prioritising or validating against proposed solutions
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage complex technical projects with ambiguity and deliver results within deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments and with cross-functional teams. Provide strategic insights to enhance business processes through technology.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $103,226 and $144,034 based on skills and experience.
