Group/Division/Branch
The Infrastructure Division is relatively new having been created in November 2023 with a merger of the DTF infrastructure groups and the former Office of Projects Victoria groups. The Infrastructure Division's primary focus is providing advice on infrastructure projects throughout all phases of development and implementation. Our groups provide advice and infrastructure project assurance for the State's capital investments. The Division has five groups. The Division provides frameworks, guidance and policy advice to government on infrastructure procurement and commercial contracting, budgeting, data and analytics on the capital program and strategic research across the sector.
About the role
The Online Reporting Platform (ORP) Project is delivering a new online platform to manage ongoing performance reporting to the DTF Secretary and Treasurer on Victoria's major infrastructure projects. The Project is in the final phase of delivery.
Key accountabilities
- Engage with subject matter experts to map remaining business processes and to update pre-existing process maps as needed.
- Elicit the remaining functional and non-functional requirements for the ORP and manage those requirements through development, test, UAT and post-implementation support, including maintaining traceability to high level requirements and business processes.
- Loading of remaining legacy data into the platform via Excel templates and the out of the box ORP import function.
- Supporting the preparation of training material and supporting users through user acceptance testing, the delivery of training and initial use of the functionality during post-implementation hypercare.
About you
We are seeking applications from candidates who meet the following selection criteria:
- Experience joining and coming up to speed on well established, fast-paced, in-flight projects.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and to collaboratively work with them to define future state processes and functional and non-functional requirements for the enabling technology.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively capture those processes and requirements and to communicate them to team members and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience managing requirements through the software development lifecycle, including maintaining the traceability of requirements.
- A high level of Excel proficiency, excellent data manipulation skills and demonstrated experience in migration of data, including application of the necessary disciplines to ensure data is not lost or corrupted.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to the successful roll out of new business processes and software functionality, including supporting users through the change.
- Familiarity with Agile ways of working and tools.
Desired Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in Business Analysis, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Finance or Project Management or other related discipline
