Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
In this role, you will be working on a mix of priorities across the team's work programme, which includes reforms of the Overseas Investment Act, International Financial Institutional (IFI) governance, the Minister's and Treasury's international engagements, and Vote Foreign Affairs.
Working in the International team will provide an opportunity to:
- Engage with international counterparts, including opportunities to travel, and represent New Zealand internationally
- Regularly engage with Ministers and senior leaders across the public sector
- Hone your intellectual leadership and analytical skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
- Enhance your relationship management skills through collaborating with a range of agencies on international issues, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Land Information New Zealand, Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise
- Prepare yourself for a more senior role through stretch opportunities, a focus on personal development, and a range of personalised training.

- An interest in international economics - an economics background will be advantageous, but is not essential.

- An ability to work with others to develop solutions to complex problems
- A generous, team-player attitude
- Preferably, an ability to hold a New Zealand Government Security Clearance.
