What you'll do
You're a technical and commercially-minded Senior Analyst looking to drive the progress of our Next Gen tools as they become an ongoing and highly valuable feature of our commercial operations. As a key member of the wiqNZ team, you will work closely with the WWNZ Commercial leadership team, as well as wiq (analytics) leads globally (AU and India). You'll harness your strong Excel, SQL and Python expertise to empower a squad of technical analysts to deliver high-impact analytical solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Technical Delivery: Enhance and run our data analysis toolkits in NZ.
- Delivery Roadmap: Input to and deliver the ongoing evolution of the Next Gen tools.
- Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex data issues in a timely mannerMentorship: Guide and upskill junior team members in their technical abilities.
What you'll bring
You'll be a true data aficionado with a proven track record of turning data into actionable insights. You'll need to be an Excel virtuoso, mastering advanced functions, automation, and data visualization. Your SQL expertise will be essential for navigating complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization, and you'll need to be comfortable orchestrating SQL pipelines using tools like DBT or Airflow. Strong Python skills are a must, with experience in data wrangling, manipulation using Pandas, and source control through Git. With at least 6 years of experience in analytics and insights delivery, you'll have a history of owning projects, managing performance, and presenting impactful recommendations to stakeholders. Exceptional communication skills and a strong commercial mindset are crucial in this fast-paced environment. If you have experience with cloud-based solutions like GCP and BigQuery, or knowledge of the retail/FMCG industry, you'll be a step ahead.
