The Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring that new technology and processes meet the needs of the business and its people through creating fit-for-purpose solutions which integrate seamlessly with existing technology and processes. You’ll help drive consensus between a wide range of business stakeholders to underpin the delivery of organisational objectives.
In this role, you will focus on the opportunity to order technology, processes, compliance, and operations, as well as operational excellence and scalability within the projects assigned.
As a Business Analyst, you’ll perform data analysis and conduct a consistent review of data metrics to guide decision-making and enhancements to support scalability and efficiencies.
Work with the accountable project manager, business subject matter experts and technical leads to ensure that the product is fit for purpose and fulfils key business requirements:
- Analyse processes and technology tools as they are (as-is), compare them to the future and improved designs (to-be) and determine the necessary changes for arriving at the improved state.
- Document process information using visual diagrams in the form of business process models (using the Business Process Management Notation or the Flowchart Notation).
- Examine processes holistically to understand the impact of changing them on people, strategy, systems and general business operations.
- Coordinate business processes signoffs on behalf of the accountable project manager
- Together with the test manager design a test plan based on business processes and scenarios, Undertake hands on testing when appropriate
- Work with the Training Team to identify any specific training points and/or validate training materials
- Assess options for process improvement, including business process modelling
- Maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes and operations
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams
What you’ll bring to IAG Cargo:
We are interested in candidates who are self-starters, able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and work in a team towards a common objective. Candidates should have strong communication skills, be comfortable with ambiguity and constructively challenge the status quo with new ideas and a collaborative approach.
A 2:2 degree or above (or equivalent), preferably in IT, engineering, mathematics, business or economics.
- Desktop packages including Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project) and Atlassian (i.e. Jira and Confluence).
- Clear understanding of risk and issue management processes.
- Willing to work in different locations according to business needs.
- Must have the right to live and work full-time in the UK
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check.
- Demonstrable understanding of technology-driven change management.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, APMP etc).
- Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (specifically UiPath technologies).
