Business Analyst (with Test Automation Experience)
The role will provide the opportunity to help define future technology projects and programmes by working as part of a team to realise change. As the business analyst you will be responsible for collecting, clarifying, translating, and communicating the requirements necessary to transform our existing technology service
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage stakeholders: Work across the business to understand stakeholder needs, map stakeholder needs to function, facilitate communication between stakeholders and the project or programme team.
• Analyse and clarify existing systems: Provide evaluation on existing applications and processes using technical specifications, process flows and system maps, identify areas working well alongside areas which could be enhanced, work with teams to propose solutions and improvements.
• Define, document, and prioritise requirements: Translate stakeholder needs clearly and concisely into requirements (both functional and non-functional) that can be consumed by the project team to define and build solutions, confidently apply prioritisation frameworks to assist with scope definition, provide input to scope based decisions.
• Support solution generation: As part of the project team collaborate with technology to support translation of requirements into technical solutions, map technical solutions back to requirements to help prove the solution meets the needs of the business.
• Coordination and reporting: Generate reports and graphics to support project decision making, provide teams with wider context through research and analysis, support teams across the delivery cycle by providing project context and quality assurance.
Skills:
• Demonstrated experience in requirements definition and the modelling of systems for technology service management
• Strong understanding of modelling techniques (e.g., use cases, activity diagrams) and various forms of software development methodologies (e.g., agile and waterfall)
• Outstanding analytical skills and intellectual curiosity, ability to challenge assumptions, problem-solve and provide in detail analysis
• Good understanding of technology services and project interdependencies
• Excellent skills in stakeholder management, written communication and verbal communication
• Ability to clearly define and provide a framework around change (e.g., changes to scope)
• Ability to work with engineers and architects to define and translate programme level requirements into deliverable solutions
• Ability to work without direct engagement with all end users and be comfort with some level of ambiguity.
• Ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects at the same time
