This new position is an exciting opportunity within our newly developed Strategy capability of the National Fire Ant Eradication Program (NFAEP). As the Business Data Analyst, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of data driven solutions to support program functions including, but not limited to, intelligence, operations, compliance, engagement, and strategy. Key responsibilities include: - Work within a multidisciplinary team, to contribute to the development of complex analysis and reports to meet program needs, including analysis of data from multiple sources, importing and merging data from databases, creating dashboards and report templates, producing reports, analysing results, and developing and delivering key findings to support program functions.- Develop and maintain dashboards across the NFAEP.- Implement best practices in data management to ensure the integrity of the data, the quality of data processes and delivery of analysable or analysed data to a variety of internal and external clients.- Use data visualisation, analysis and spatial analysis tools in analysing and reporting of large and/or complex data sets.- Continuously improve data analysis processes, methodologies and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.- Adhere to data governance policies and regulatory requirements, ensuring data privacy, security and compliance within the organisation.- Monitor progress of operational outcomes and risks and contributes to the proposal of possible solutionsMandatory qualificationsWhile there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, the key capabilities for this role include: - Highly developed data analysis skills using software such as PowerBI, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with SQL, R or ArcGIS is highly desirable.
