Lead Business Analyst (Agile)

We have change across a number of teams which is delivered in a more Waterfall model (and we're moving more to Agile principles and approaches for this work) i.e. the delivery of new platforms, capabilities and architecture like data and cloud, or changes which deliver saas solutions which require integration into LBS where we don't have a persistent team, or infrastructure/cyber/colleague tech change which don't typically lend themselves to Agile.
How you'll make a difference
This is a new and exciting opportunity to shape a broad mix of initiatives and lead a team of Business Analysts.
The initiatives you'll be working on and teams you'll be working with are critical to the delivery of our purpose to put home ownership in reach of more people, generation after generation.
Working in an Agile environment alongside Product Owners, you will ensure that the work with the most value is prioritised and broken down into increments for delivery within your squad. You will contribute to business case development for Agile, Waterfall and hybrid initiatives, but you will primarily be responsible for Agile business analysis ways of working within the Digital Delivery approach. You will have extensive Agile business analysis experience in a similar role, line managing other BAs.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience in a Lead or Senior Business Analyst role, with experience of working through the end-to-end business analysis lifecycle (e.g. from requirements gathering to business readiness and delivery).
- Experience of working across several business functions and understanding of business concepts.
- A broad level of business analysis experience gained in a large scale corporate environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Being fully conversant with Agile / Waterfall project lifecycle approaches, techniques and tools.
- Previous experience of line management (desirable)
- A BCS and/or Agile qualification (desirable).
- Financial/banking sector experience (desirable).
