To support the organisation's complaint handling functions, the office implemented a Pilot Information and Client Management System (ICMS) to support intake from day one of operations. The pilot is being used to understand intake volume and business processes before the team develop and implement a comprehensive ICMS that will future proof the Commission.
As the Business Analyst in this role you will lead the assessment of the current Pilot ICMS, while working closely with internal and external stakeholders and a solution architect to: document business requirements and model business processes, identify opportunities for business process improvements and inform and support solution architecture activities.
The role will establish effective relationships with an emphasis on business process improvement, risk mitigation, and trauma-informed and responsive service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the pilot assessment of the ICMS and update business requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and consult with subject matter experts to elicit business process and practice improvements.
- Produce and document process models, detailing current state processes and developing and proposing future state processes.
- Identify opportunities for the implementation of business process and practice improvement.
- Manage user acceptance testing activity and documenting the results of user acceptance testing.
- Identify issues and risks, assist with mitigation strategies, and escalate where necessary.
Key Skills and Experience:
You will demonstrate the following key skills and capabilities in this role:
- Business Analyst experience in an IT environment with strong skills in development of requirements and specifications according to standards.
- Proactive in bringing new perspectives to existing processes to drive innovative improvement.
- Strong written and oral communication skills (including the ability to establish relationships, facilitate workshops, consult and influence both business and technical people).
- Ability to gather and investigate information from a variety of sources, explore new ideas and different viewpoints.
- High level interpersonal skills including consultation and the ability to prepare, coordinate and present timely and accurate advice both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to work autonomously and see projects through to completion, monitoring progress and adjusting plans as required.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including highly developed negotiation skills.
- Commitment to achieving quality outcomes and ensures documentation procedures are maintained and stakeholders' expectations are met.
While there are no mandatory qualifications, relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of process modelling in accordance with Business Process Management Network (BPMN) and associated software and drawing tools e.g., MS Visio
- Experience in initiatives collecting and sharing sensitive data, highly desired but not essential.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, but not essential.
- Experience with Form.io highly desirable.
