Overall Purpose of the Job:
This role will support the strengthening of analytical capability across the university to help understand research performance in alignment with its strategy, facilitate strategic decision-making, measure services, and enhance institutional readiness for future external research assessment exercises.
Effective collaboration and strong stakeholder management is key to this role, working with colleagues from all areas of the university to understand business requirements whilst balancing diverse perspectives and ensuring that stakeholder input is integrated into the development process, resulting in high-quality, user-centred solutions. The role will also work closely with central Business Intelligence and IT support teams.
The role will also support colleagues to improve research data literacy at all levels across the university through the Data and Analytics project. The role-holder will also be a member of the university-wide Data Analyst Network, working with colleagues to develop and understand best practices and sharing knowledge and skills.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to self-development and continuous learning, demonstrating a proactive approach to horizon scanning further their knowledge whilst staying current with industry news, trends and best-practices.
