Title: Business Analyst & Improvement Coordinator, Permanent - Part-time Role, 21 hours per week
Salary Range: $108,222.23 to $125,771.99 (on a pro-rata basis) per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

The Waste Management & Cleansing Business Unit provides a range of services relating to domestic waste, public litter bins and cleansing public places, as well as managing waste and cleansing services provided by Kimbriki Environmental Enterprises and other contractors to Council. It provides accurate and timely advice and uses best practice methods and procedures while developing new and innovative solutions. The Waste Management and Cleansing Business Unit will deliver the following services:
- Cleansing Services
- Domestic Waste Management and Recycling
- Public litterbin collection and recycling
- Education on waste services and waste avoidance

Our opportunity:
The Business Analyst and Improvement Coordinator manages and facilitates improvements in the Business Unit’s systems, activities and procedures. The role also includes coordinating others in the Business Unit to ensure high performance service delivery, including through improved data collection and data/evidence-based projects and improvements.
The key focus areas of this role include:
- Strong management and leadership of business analytics and improvement for the Business Unit to achieve business objectives, including the coordination of staff, program delivery, policies, operations and systems.
- Oversee data and system development, review, improvement and integration, including business unit’s use of available data for reporting and business process improvement
- Manage complex and potentially high-profile projects on behalf of the unit to achieve desired project outcomes, including scoping and proposing projects, research, reviewing feasibilities and co-ordinating stakeholders, managers, and staff.
