Ground Operations Business Analyst
To provide analytical support to Network Ground Operations, as well as other departments (e.g. Finance, Route Planning, etc.) through cost modelling, budget preparation, analysis of market and collation of data.
The Network Ground Operations Business Analyst (GOBA) will be responsible for ensuring the framework of invoices and tax & charges of the Network Ground Operations Airports budget are maintained and any issues arsing are worked through effectively with the Finance department / Network Ground Operations Management Team.
Your responsibilities as a Network Ground Operations Business Analyst will include:
- Create, manage and maintain a master list of handling charges and make available to all stakeholders.
- Conduct regular scheduled meetings/calls with IAG Procurement to ensure continuous progress on all contract matters.
- Create, manage and maintain a master list of all Ground Handling contracts, ensuring all contracts are kept up-to-date, available and signed by appropriate EI Senior Manager.
- Validate Ground Handling costs and general invoices.
- Complete business cases relating to Ground Operations costs including new contracts and contract changes.
- Maintain the Aer Lingus SGHA templates and conduct contract analysis on SGHAs being prepared for tender and/or renewal.
- Track fines incurred by Aer Lingus for immigration violations.
- Plan, prepare and implement process for preparation of data necessary for annual budget for Ground Operations Network Airport costs in order to enable budget preparation by Finance Business Partner.
- Plan and implement a process for the collation and preparation of data on all charges for annual Ground Operations Network Airports budget in accordance with a defined process and timeline, identifying risks and proposing forecasts/estimations based on market intelligence.
- Review monthly budget reports and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and integrity of relevant financial data sources, e.g. handling rates & ad-hoc charges, and take action to recover and prevent further losses.
- Continually monitor market and keep record of handling charges to act as a market data intelligence source for handling rates and future budgets.
- Provide support to the wider Ground Operations Management team.
- Establish new procedures where new business requirements arise and re-engineer existing business processes in order to achieve greater efficiencies
- Undergraduate Degree in Law, Business, Economics or related area.
- Strong analytical skills – ability to understand and produce Tableau reports.
- Strong IT Skills-Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
- Finance: including knowledge and experience of Corporate Finance system, e.g. WFS & Impromptu.
- Diligent, meticulous, disciplined and with exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, ability to work efficiently and consistently to a very high level of accuracy and quality.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, by phone and by email with a professional and respectful manner as role involves supplier relationship management.
- Commercial acumen including a competent understanding of corporate finance.
- Excellent understanding of business relations and best outcome analysis.
- Ability to balance and appreciate competing requirements, e.g. operational, commercial, service level.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
- Able to pass a five year security background check.
- Able to pass an aviation security vetting process, that includes an enhanced background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport as this position is based in Dublin.

Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work as part of a team
Legal skills and knowledge, especially law of contract.
Legal drafting skills, including interpreting of contractual terms and conditions. .
Knowledge of IATA Standard Agreements-e.g Standard Ground Handling Agreement (SHGA) and Service Level Agreements.
Knowledge and experience of AIMS and MVS.
Knowledge of Airline Operations: e.g passenger and ramp handling
