The Business and Cost Analytics team is part of Meta’s Infrastructure Supply Chain and Engineering organization. As a business analyst your primary responsibility will be to partner with key stakeholders, data engineers, and data scientists to create metrics that inform and enable our most critical strategic and operational decisions. You will help translate business needs into requirements and identify efficiency opportunities leveraging data. In addition to querying and visualizing data, you will be expected to use your expertise to provide meaningful recommendations and actionable strategies to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in ambiguous environments and creating impact from the ground up in a fast paced environment. The position is located in our Fremont office.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define and create metrics from the ground up that will be used to help inform key business decisions.
- Conduct detailed data analysis and identify actionable insights and recommendations to business partners.
- Understand business requirements and collaborate with key stakeholders to provide suggestions on best metrics and visualizations to be used.
- Intelligently design visualizations that focus on usability and ease of interpretation.
- Design, build and launch reliable dashboards that provide meaningful insights across cross-functional global teams.
- Proactively identify process improvements and drive implementation to help make us a more efficient organization.
- Deploy inclusive data quality checks to ensure high quality of dashboards.
- Lead task assignments to ensure project success.
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience with SQL, relational databases (Oracle, MySQL) and expertise with Tableau
- 5+ years experience in sourcing management or supply chain management
- MS in computer science, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python to build statistical models
- Experience working in supply chain organizations (specifically Data Center Hardware) with an emphasis on hardware quality
- Extracting valuable insights from technical data and communicating findings to varied technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing multiple work threads to maximize impact
