About the role:
Fantastic opportunity for an intermediate level technical BA who has at least 3 years’ business analysis experience to work for one of Australia’s leading Insurers.
You will work with our Core Data Platform so knowledge and understanding of databases would be beneficial. For this role, preference will be given to candidates who also have some technical knowledge of Splunk, ServiceNow and/or Grasana in order to understand the technical impacts as the business problem is being presented. Most importantly you will have a can-do attitude, be willing to learn and excel at building relationships.
You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 200 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing.
What you'll do
- Build strong relationships through engagement with customers, colleagues, and other key stakeholders
- Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesize information accurately, completely, and coherently.
- Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
- Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
- Create detailed user stories to support delivery.
- Work close with squad / project members, including but not limited to Delivery lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Tech Leads, and Business stakeholders to identify, capture, plan and deliver the scope of work.
- Working in an Agile continuous delivery environment and be responsible for analysing and documenting requirements, facilitate workshops and design solution sessions
What you'll bring
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience of business analysis within a large complex organisation
- Some technical knowledge of databases, Splunk, ServiceNow or Grasana preferred
- Ability to understand the technical impacts as the business problem is being presented
- Previous experience working on process improvements
- Willingness to learn and be a team-player with the confidence and communication skills to engage with all levels of stakeholders
- Experience with standard Agile tools i.e. JIRA & Confluence
