About the role
Reporting to the Information Technology Delivery Manager, the role of the Business Analyst is to provide full life cycle delivery and support of applications and services within the Technology Team, i.e. involvement in the requirements capture, build, test, delivery and subsequent an escalation point as subject matter expert for “business as usual” support and change of those applications and services.
The Business Analyst will assist in defining and executing strategies for delivery of Projects, enhancements, and changes for all applications supporting the business. They will develop a deep understanding of the internal business processes, the plans and objectives of the business in the short, medium, and long term, and will translate these objectives to actionable plans and deliverables from a product / application management perspective.
More specifically, our eCommerce Marketplaces will be the primary focus of this role.

Duties
- User Stories (use cases) are accurately documented, logically split and fully identify the situation or opportunity. This implies that the appropriate documentation is created for the target audience (user stories, business process workflows etc)
- build/application is in a UAT ready state when the business starts their testing
- Business requests developed on time, with minimal defects
- Contributes to the development of team best practices within the Technology Delivery Team
- Suggests areas for development in in-house processes together with potential solutions.
- Providing 2nd level SME support to the Delivery Team Support Analyst
- Key elements of application or services are documented and knowledge available to the team
- Applications are patched and upgraded as necessary in a timely manner according to prescribed schedules.
Skills and experience
- Certified Scrum Master qualifications as well as knowledge of waterfall methodologies.
- Ability to write user stories
- Ability to prepare technical and non-technical support and training documentation
- Familiar with operating systems - primarily those within a Micro Soft ecosphere
- Facilitates effective communication with developers, business representatives, Product Managers and fellow Business Analysts
- Analytical skills
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with various business areas and internal technology teams.
