An exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst is available within our Global Combat Air Programme IT team.
In all areas these roles involve working with a range of key business stakeholders to support the delivery of key programme milestones thus enabling the delivery of our Defence Combat strategy for the next 50 years.

Successful delivery of these programmes will ensure both the UK and Rolls-Royce retains combat capability, ensuring freedom of action for the UK and enabling the company to maintain our market share in the Naval, Defence Aero and combat markets.
What you will be doing:
You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders within the business to analyse problems, demonstrate a clear understanding of the work required to solve them and help develop solutions to fix them. This includes:
- Leading the business analysis activities across all GCAP IT initiatives including stakeholder management, requirements gathering and business process analysis
- Taking a holistic approach to requirements gathering for common business problems within GCAP, such as cross-partner secure communication, collaboration, information exchange, secure access, application requirements, data requirements etc
- Influencing and collaborating on business analysis activities with external partners on GCAP.
- Supporting compliance and governance across GCAP governance boards and providing input to Defence IT/Central IT governance to ensure that the Future Programmes delivers the desired business outcomes and benefits to Defence

- Knowledge of the defence industry would be preferred but not essential
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of IT delivery processes and architecture
- Business Analysis qualifications or relevant experience in a broad range of business analysis skills, such as requirements gathering and engineering, user story development, personas, business process modelling, workshop facilitation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with senior business stakeholders and bring technical concepts and roadmaps to life
- Experience of Information Management
The role is Bristol based, but travel both in the UK and overseas may also be required on an occasional basis.
To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence Business there may be a requirement for an individual to hold a level of National Security Vetting (NSV). If the requirement is identified Rolls-Royce will support the application for NSV if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
