Scope of the Role:
Mercury is looking to recruit a Business Strategy Analyst to join their growing team in Dublin to help deliver our Go Beyond strategy. The purpose of this role is to help Mercury deliver its ambitious growth plans.
The successful candidate will support our project teams and pillar leads to deliver successful initiatives across our market sectors, data centres, life sciences & semiconductor as well as our people, culture, digital, engineering & sustainability goals. We are looking for an ambitious candidate who can grow and achieve their career goals with Mercury.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Change, the ideal candidate should have a passion for delivering strategic initiatives in a dynamic company operating across Europe.
Primary responsibilities are:
- Support the Head of Change in helping deliver Mercury Go Beyond initiatives across divisions, projects and functions in up to 15 European countries.
- Ensure all Go Beyond initiatives are aligned with our framework strategy so we always are heading in the right direction.
- Proactively support Pillar Leads in delivery and execution of projects; plans, schedules, budgets and performance KPI’s to ensure all activities are integrated effectively.
- Support all BU Leaders through packaging our strategy in a premium but simple way for sharing internally with employees at our launch and critical milestones.
- Ensure there is an integrated process where the Annual Business plans is linked to our strategic goals effectively to map progress on our 2030 direction.
- Leverage the CPM so strategic goals are waterfalled from the Annual Plans into the CPM down to the appropriate level of the business.
- Develop and manage strategic progress reporting of pillar initiatives and overall program to gauge how we are doing and track where we are on our Go Beyond journey.
- Benchmark Mercury strategic structures against best in class in industry
- Help onboard our Graduates on our purpose and our Go Beyond strategy.
- Be an ambassador for our Go Beyond culture.
Essential Criteria for the Role:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy or Engineering
- May suit someone looking to move from consulting into a great company
- Experience of winning in team environments
- Keen interest in cultures and travel
- Self-driven
Desirable Criteria:
- 2- 3 years’ experience in business, strategy or construction is desirable.
- Experience working on programs requiring engagement with stakeholders across an international organization.
- Knowledge of business strategy concepts, models and frameworks
- Knowledge of the construction sector and project environment is not essential.
- Strong technology skills in particulate MS PowerPoint, Excel & SharePoint sites.
- Good critical judgement and ability to solve problems quickly & effectively.
- Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational skills.
- Be energetic, creative, delivery focused and passionate.
- Excellent communication & persuasion skills.
- Resilient with a can-do attitude.
