A major priority for the Group over the next 3 to 4 years, UNITE is about delivering ‘one best way’ to make our processes, systems and tech simpler so we can deliver a better experience for customers, make things easier for our people, and reduce risk for generations to come.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will join the Business & Wealth, Chief Data Office to support on various business initiatives and projects. In this position you will be supporting on initiatives related to UNITE which is our business led, tech-enabled transformation. Through this work Westpac will be delivering simplification and benefits for our customers, employees and shareholder.
You will define the associated scope regarding the project scope, business outcomes, and capabilities delivered for small to medium projects, thereby demonstrating an understanding of the agreed-upon value outcomes and assisting on large and/or complex projects.
- Manage stakeholders to establish effective working relationships that achieve the necessary outcomes, while providing direction and guidance to others.
- Identify, select, and manage resources within a consolidated resource model that accounts for required capabilities, hybrid functions, spans of control, and seniority in its design for large and complex projects/programs, and provide direction and guidance to others.
- Deliver accuracy and consistency of requirements are maintained throughout large projects without the need for direction or guidance.
- Package requirements within large, complex projects, achieving consensus and formal approval independently.
- Define and deliver the necessary messaging and outcomes by ensuring the medium, audience, and content are appropriate.

What do I need?
- Extensive demonstrated experience in business process improvement/re-engineering, data analysis, system analysis experience and business case preparation experience.
- Understanding of complex technology landscapes
- Documentation deliverables (User stories, Business Requirements Documents, Process Maps)
- A good knowledge of Business Banking divisions and operations
- Knowledge of project management disciplines and financial services
