Job Summary
Barings Technology Business Management team is seeking a Technical Business Analyst (TBM) who has a proven track record in leveraging cutting edge technology to drive scale and deliver innovative solutions. In partnership with Barings Investment and support teams, the individual will be responsible in managing the relationship between the Global Technology and Data team and the aligned business unit/region. This position provides the candidate with the opportunity to work collaboratively across the many different lines within Barings Investments within the APAC Region including Global Equities, Private Assets, Real Estate, Multi Asset, and Barings Operations. The individual should be a domain expert in topics such as Cash Management, Trade Settlement, Loan Operations, and Portfolio Construction.
Primary Responsibilities
- As the Technology Leader covering a variety of stakeholders in APAC region, the candidate will be responsible for delivering innovative technology solutions and services.
- Develop deep relationships across Barings’ APAC team to unlock areas where technology can be leveraged effectively and address any gaps.
- Maintain a strong communication and partnership with the Aladdin Product Team to ensure that Barings is leveraging the latest features.
- In partnership with other leaders, co-manage the Aladdin platform and other major platforms being utilized within the region.
- Provide high-level requirements on critical business demands to enhance platforms and internally built applications.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of business analysis or project management experience, preferably in the Financial Services industry.
- Must work extremely well within a team-based environment while also being independent and self-motivated.
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with internal and external resources.
- Proven problem solver who can work independently and think out-the-box to meet objectives.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Barings’ overall business, develop product knowledge across Barings’ investment capabilities, and possess the ability to articulate and communicate effectively.
- Detail oriented, strong organizational skills with ability to multitask effectively.
- Multilingual for the APAC region.
