Position Summary:
We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring that software solutions meet business requirements and goals. The Software Business Analyst will be key in understanding business needs, analyzing processes, and developing functional specifications to drive successful project outcomes. Knowledge of Newgen Software platform, Case Manaement, Business Process automation and document management will be of great advantage
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
Translate business needs into clear, detailed, actionable technical requirements or user stories.
Ensure all requirements align with the strategic goals of the organization.
- Process Mapping and Improvement: Analyze current business processes to identify areas of improvement.
Design and document workflows, processes, and use cases to optimize efficiency.
Work with stakeholders to implement changes that deliver measurable improvements.
- Solution Development Support: Liaise between the development team and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.
Assist in the creation of functional specifications, wireframes, and prototypes.
Validate that the software meets business and user needs through testing and feedback sessions.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test cases to verify that system functionality aligns with requirements.
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for system improvements.
Ensure quality and consistency in software deliverables.
- Stakeholder Communication and Management: Communicate project status, challenges, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
Manage expectations by providing realistic timelines and deliverable updates.
Facilitate effective collaboration among cross-functional teams.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions.
Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders to illustrate findings, recommendations, and progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 4–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development or a related domain.
Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management software.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
A basic understanding of programming, databases, or software architecture is advantageous.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
