Overview: emagine is seeking an experienced Front Office Technical Business Analyst to join our consultancy team, working with a leading investment
The purpose of the role will be to apply analytical expertise to deliver a range of Front Office projects, working with colleagues in Risk, Regulatory and Technology.
As the Technical Business Analyst, you will be expected to have significant experience in analysing, challenging, designing and documenting complex business processes - balancing a variety of key stakeholders interests with a robust focus on systems change and deriving efficiency to deliver optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with stakeholders across Front Office, Risk and Technology teams, to assemble business requirements and drive delivery for strategic projects.
Manage expectations of various stakeholder groups and help negotiate solutions to complex problems.
Help put together and manage detailed documentation covering Risk calculations and other processing, to be used to discuss technology implementation details with the Business users and Market Regulators in various countries/regions.
Facilitate and drive project meetings with both business and technology teams.
Ability to trace changes in day to day exposures to changes in markets, books and or legal agreements.
Where feasible develop excel prototypes to demonstrate and analyse risk calculations.
Full lifecycle management for Change projects and supporting the Programme/Project Managers for project delivery (in particular the Front Office (Global Markets) Programme Manager)
Partners with the business SMEs, Technology, Risk and Compliance.
Manages risk and ensures documentation is in place to record the details of project delivery and testing to audit standard.
Day to day contact person for Agile teams, providing input into scrums and creating business documentation and tracking deliverables as required.
Experience Needed:
Experience as a Business Analyst within a Front Office environment, in an investment banking context.
Proven experience with SWAPS, FX, Cash, Bonds, Repos, and other similar traded products.
Experience with Fidessa or similar system with focus on, configuration, trade booking, and lifecycle management.
Experience in supporting business requirements gathering and contributing to technical design.
Knowledge of trade flow, trading systems and related concepts and technology, including valuation and client/market risk management
Proven track record of delivery of Front Office projects. Experience of adherence to governance frameworks / implementation and handover to BAU
Experience of different project delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, PRINCE2
Able to translate strategies into plans that can be effectively executed.
In-depth understanding of the FS landscape and experience in risk/technology focused projects.
Experience with Python desired but not essential
Ability to conduct detailed product analysis and map pricing models within application templates.
