Job Description
The IT Business Analyst APAC is responsible to translate business needs into requirements and IT solutions. As a business analyst the focus is on improving Fugro operations via information technologies. The individual will work on several projects in parallel from initiation to execution. The IT Business Analyst will offer guidance and advice on what requirements and solutions will best fit a business’ needs, now and into the future.
The majority of projects will be enterprise and business applications related, and the IT Business Analyst will support the various teams in adopting the processes, and systems. Over time an increasing number of applications will come into play, which are spread across business lines and support functions.
In addition, as part of the regional (IT) team, the individual is expected to identify areas for improvement and assist in the annual planning. The IT Business Analyst is a trusted partner to the Regional IT manager APAC in support of regional (business) goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Advice
- Build Business Case, setup Success Criteria and identifies risks for projects.
- Act as a trusted advisor and develops actionable plans. IT Business Analyst is able to explain impact of decisions.
- Drive vendor due diligence from a systems integration perspective.
- ntervenes on behalf of (business) stakeholders in projects to mitigate risks or problems.
Requirements & Solutions Development
- Ensure business needs are met by IT system(s).
- Responsible to translate process requirements into solution designs, or functional requirements. Will elicit, analyse and validate the requirements.
- Understands interdependencies between various systems, data flows, and the application landscape.
- Supports the Change Management Board (CAB) to validate requests and prioritize them.
- Analyses how Information Technologies can increase efficiency and productivity.
Change Management
- Facilitate regional workshops and information sessions.
- Support adoption of new ERP systems and Enterprise Applications in APAC. Could provide user trainings and develop change materials.
- Change agent for Fugro Standard Business Processes.
- Good understanding on business and technology trends and advises regional stakeholders on emerging technologies to support short and long term objectives.
Information Security & Compliance
- Support Information Security and Privacy awareness in APAC.
- Ensure that Information Security is embedded into the business processes for all technology-related efforts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or relevant professional experience
- 3 to 8 years - candidate must have demonstrated experience in Enterprise Applications and Project Management
- Good communication skills on a technical and non-technical level, and able to collaborate across functions.
- A healthy degree of business acumen and understanding on organization structures.
- Change management experience and workshop facilitation skills are deemed as beneficial.
- Has attention to detail and is well organized.
- Proven experience in requirements analysis and process mapping.
- Knowledge on Corporate / Support Functions such as Finance, Procurement, Business Development, HR and HSSE is seen as beneficial.
- Previous experience in implementing ERP systems is a big plus.
