The opportunity:
AIA New Zealand is searching for a Senior Business Analyst with strong leadership skills to join our team.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will assist to execute AIA's strategy by gathering, evaluating, confirming, and communicating the requirements for complicated changes to business processes, policies, and information systems for approved projects and other initiatives.
Your expertise will drive decisions that ensure optimal outcomes for our customers and the business as a whole, and plays a critical role in supporting the continuous improvement of Enterprise Delivery, uplifting business analysis capability to deliver high-quality results efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing leadership, support, and guidance to technical teams to ensure the solution meets the needs of the business

Providing direction to other project team members and technical staff involved in the solution delivery

Contributing to the continuous improvement of the BA practice and analysis skills and capabilities
-
Providing both high level and detailed estimates for all BA activities
-
Facilitating workshops to assist in the planning process and successful delivery outcomes
-
Leading and mentoring Senior BAs and BAs, ensuring adherence to the Business Analysis Practice framework and supporting their development

Maintaining expertise in analysis methodologies, sharing knowledge across the team, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure alignment with business objectives and drive decision-making
-
Contributing to the development of business cases, ensuring alignment with AIA’s strategic goal
-
Establishing a clear understanding of your personal responsibilities in the maintenance of Risk & Control Management and applying this to all activities.
Ideally, you’ll bring:

Business or IT related tertiary qualification preferred
-
Business Analysis qualification (e.g. IIBA Certification (CBAP) or equivalent)
-
5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst or experience in a similar role
-
Agile certification
-
Experience of Agile and Lean approaches and deliveries preferred
-
Financial Services/Insurance knowledge & experience
-
Proficient in Confluence and Jira
-
UX/UI knowledge & experience
-
Process Improvement / Lean & Six Sigma preferred.
