About Us
If you love working with a diverse group of people who are all about putting the customer at the centre and enabling choice, you’ve found the right company. The energy sector is transforming at a rate of knots, and we want you to join us and be part of this transformation. Vector is a proudly Aotearoa-owned company, which operates a range of innovative businesses delivering energy and communication services to more than one million homes and commercial customers across Australasia and the Pacific. These services include electricity and gas connections, solar solutions, high speed fibre, BBQ gas bottles, air and water purification and much more – all of which are transforming the energy sector in one way or another.
Because we live in a world that is changing fast, we must continue to identify and develop better solutions that will provide value, choice and service for our customers throughout New Zealand and beyond, so the environment and communities we love continue to thrive. To do this, Vector has a vision of creating a new energy future, which will help to deliver clean, reliable and affordable energy solutions for customers.
About the role
We have a permanent full time, and 1 year fixed term opportunity to join Vector’s Experience Design and Analysis Practice, where you will be responsible for identifying opportunities across our value streams to improve business processes and user experience through process re-engineering and reimagining the product/service experience we deliver.
You’ll also be accountable for analysing business processes, information requirements and system interactions specific to the products and services in the value stream. You will know how to standardise processes to be repeatable, defined, and measurable.
In the BA chapter, you will work alongside other BAs in growing the maturity level of our practice.
As the conduit between technical teams, the business and our customers, you’ll be confident translating jargon to simple language and vice versa. You’ll also be an effective negotiator, and adept at getting people onboard, influencing others and presenting ideas and concepts.
Who we are looking for
- You will have hands-on BA experience in either a complex ERP programme or Data & Analytics programme
- Ideally you’ll have previous experience working in value streams/tribes/squads, with a sound understanding of switching between Agile/Waterfall/Kanban delivery methodologies
- You’ll be experienced working in Digital/technical environments, with a track record of using six sigma or lean sigma to define processes to improve and identify broken processes
- You’ll have a strong business focus, and experience with process visualisation and even service blueprints
- Your stakeholder engagement skills will be your strength, as are your communication and influencing skills.
