My client based in Cape Town (Northern Suburbs) is currently looking for a Business Analyst to join them on a fixed term contract
IT / Finance
Responsibilities
- Engage with key stakeholders to understand business needs, regulatory requirements, and market trends
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for investment-linked and / or life products
- Work with product, legal, compliance, and IT teams to define product specifications
- Develop detailed business specs and process flows to support the project initiatives
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization across the business incl. but not limited to reporting, servicing, finance, etc
- Collaborate with IT teams to define system requirements and test solutions
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure seamless implementation of product build
- Support Training and review of training material
- Act as the bridge between business, IT, compliance, and product teams
- Prepare and present clear proposals, and recommendations to senior management
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams on product and process changes
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent certification is a plus
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Linked Investment Products and / or Life Products
- Strong knowledge of investment platforms, unit-linked products, and policy administration systems
- International investment product experience is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing investment and life insurance products
- Strong expertise in business process modelling, data analysis, and reporting
- Experience with agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence is preferred
