Description:
Under the direction of the Associate Manager of Development Groups, the Associate Business Systems Analyst will work with other Business Systems Analysts and Software Engineers in the review, analysis and evaluation of business systems and user needs. In addition, the Associate Business Systems Analyst will assist in the maintenance, development and implementation of new procedures and policies to improve business systems efficiency.
Individuals typically enter our career path at the Associate level for the several years of employment with DataCare. After meeting the expectations for promotion, the next step in the career path is the full Business Analyst title and responsibilities. After again proving mastery of the required skills as a Business Analyst, strong employees in the role move to the Senior level. Other opportunities to become a Team Lead or other specialized role may follow for those who are interested and qualified.
Work Specifics: Full-time, Exempt position, eight (8) hour workday, Monday-Friday, PST schedule, in our corporate office or remote.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Participate in the project planning process
- Participate in the identification of technical system and equipment requirements
- Assist in the development of accurate time estimates to support project requirements as defined by a manager of Datacare Corporation
- Proactively assist with the identification of training needs of users, working with a manager of Datacare Corporation and other personnel to design and implement the training of users.
- Develop or modify software application modules using pre-established software development guidelines
- Adhere to quality standards and procedures
- Participate and co-coordinate unit and integration testing and debugging of software application modules to ensure software application modules meets specifications and are production ready
- Document functions and changes to new or modified software application modules and testing activities/results
- Participate with the production environment implementation of new or modified software application modules
- Assist with the support of and/or the installation of software applications and operating systems
- When communicating with users, ensure that no confidential, protected information or special access is given away without proper security precautions
- Other responsibilities or duties as may be assigned

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, information systems or other technical field with a solid foundation in Computer Technology. Must be proficient in the English language and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate must have the following:
- Possess a good working knowledge of SQL and HTML
- Be familiar with PHP, JavaScript and Linux
- Be familiar with interface design
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, while planning and tracking status on several projects
- Ability to adapt to constant business change and changing requirements
- Working knowledge of commonly used software programming and business concepts, practices, and procedures
- Good discovery skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Ability to collaborate on a team level with excellence, dignity, and respect

Physical Requirements:
Candidate must be able to sit the majority of an 8-hour day except for lunch and break times. Candidate must be able to keyboard the majority of an 8-hour day except for lunch and break times. Candidate must have manual dexterity. Candidate must be able to speak on the telephone intermittently throughout the day. Candidate must be able to read and write English fluently. Candidate must be able to provide and confirm safe home office environment. Home office must be HIPAA compliant.
