We have an opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team of staff.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Significant (5+ years) experience in Business Analysis within large (~£500M+ annual revenue, 10,000+ end-users, 40+ different locations) organisations, delivering large scale business change
- Professional business analysis qualification e.g. ISEB, CBAP certification or similar
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and externals stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of individuals in a wide range of situations that may require tact and diplomacy at all levels of the hierarchy
- Ability to bring clarity to requirements that are vague, incomplete or ambiguous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Experience of developing new business models, communicating to management on how these strategies and models will enhance business efficiency
- Ability to identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks within the business
Duties of this role include:
- Lead the engagement with project stakeholders to define the scope of potential projects and elicit requirements using a variety of techniques e.g. workshop, document analysis, interviews, observations.
- Engage with business stakeholders and project teams to validate new requirements for IT systems and business process change in the form of functional and non-functional requirements.
- Analyse the potential business and operational impact for proposed changes to a service or part of a service.
- Lead the engagement with business stakeholders and project teams to manage requirements workshops, prioritise and document business requirements.
- Explain IT concepts to business stakeholders in non-technical language
- Ensure completeness, consistency, comprehensibility of requirements ensuring regulatory impacts are understood. • Lead business stakeholders through walkthroughs of requirements to ensure understanding and obtain sign-off.
- Work closely with the business and development teams to ensure development of software meets documented criteria and business expectations.
- Provide recommendations to business stakeholders and be able to justify those recommendations.
- Support the project manager with project estimation, delivery of IT projects within agreed timelines.
- Work with the project manager to produce “lessons learned” reports for completed projects, delivery of benefits realisation by understanding the impact of change from a quality, finance, and resource perspective.
