About the opportunity As part of the Remuneration and Benefits team, the Business Analyst plays a key role in analysing and managing award classifications, pay structures, and compliance with remuneration obligations. This role provides data-driven insights, ensures alignment with legislation, and supports the implementation of initiatives to promote fairness and equity in the workplace. Additionally, the position contributes to commercial and operational reporting and supports the broader team with analytical tasks.
- Ensure compliance with award and enterprise agreement rate obligations, including accurate application of rate adjustments
- Monitor and manage changes to remuneration obligations, ensuring alignment with legislation and organizational standards
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders (e.g., Payroll, HR, and People & Culture) to ensure efficient remuneration processes
- Conduct audits and analyses of remuneration practices to ensure consistency with industry standards and legal requirements
- Manage and submit remuneration data for internal and external reporting purposes
- Provide commercial and operational reporting support, including budget forecasting and analytical tasks as needed
About you You will have a formal qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business or similar, with a Data Analytics background, proficient at Excel. Preferably you will demonstrate experience and understanding of Enterprise Agreements, Awards and Legislative requirements, within a Large and complex organisation.
Furthermore, you will:
- Previous experience in a Business Analyst role or Remuneration and Benefits role with reporting and analytical experience within a large and complex organisation
- Advanced experience in MS Excel, and Data Analytics
- Demonstrated experience interpreting Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, Awards, and legislation is preferrable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
