Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience designing and implementing Finance systems.
- 5 years of experience building integrated systems throughout the entire lifecycle (e.g., analyze, design, build, test, implement, and support).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in Record to Report and Source to Pay processes.
- Experience in one or more regions: EMEA, APAC or LATAM, and two or more subdomains: non-leading ledgers, tax filings, e-invoicing/e-reporting, other regulatory and compliance reporting.
- Understanding of SAP best practice reporting capabilities and data-centric experience with third-party controllership and tax-related applications (e.g., Workiva, Synchro, Vertex O-Series, BRF+).
- Ability to partner with and influence Finance and Engineering teams to create coherent system goals and roadmap to transform processes.

The Finance Engineering team creates and implements the Fintech strategy for Google and Alphabet Finance. As the technology and engineering development partners to Finance leadership and CFO of Google and Alphabet, the team drives key technology transformations and investments. The team identifies time-consuming internal processes and then builds solutions that are reliable and scalable enough to work within the size and scope of the company.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal business teams and stakeholders in developing delivery roadmaps and associated system requirements for international controllership and tax processes.
- Plan, prioritize, deliver, and support systems solutions related to SAP S/4, data warehousing (e.g., GCP) or other international controllership and tax-related platforms and tools (Workiva, Synchro, Vertex, BRF+).
- Execute on system implementation projects for tax and controllership which involve requirements documentation, data model design, pipeline building/configuration, testing, issue identification and bug resolution.
- Develop solution rollout, business continuity and contingency plans as needed.
- Organize and manage work through comprehensive documentation to drive project delivery. Drive continuous process improvement by working with stakeholders to enhance business performance.
