Overview:
The primary purpose of this position is to help the MedSurg division in development, deployment, and implementation of pricing management strategy in regions in conjunction with EMEA commercial business management team, country commercial business managers and speciality colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Increase awareness of divisional pricing strategy with implementation in regions in conjunction with commercial managers and speciality colleagues.
- Share pricing best practices across regions and divisions to ensure solutions already present in the organisation are fully leveraged and roll out.
- Supports the commercial management team in:
- Development, execution and monitoring Divisional Pricing strategy in terms of contract management, price adherence and margin levels.
- Developing and initiating new product launch plans specifically related to pricing strategies using market relevant pricing and existing price policy in line with margin expectations.
- Gather pricing business needs, propose, and develop solutions to meet those needs in conjunction with Divisions and CSD.
- Analyse on-going pricing performance and identify new pricing opportunities, while considering fee and rebate structures.
- Identify emerging trends on competitor price performance; reporting on specific price trends to enable commercial market analysis.
- Analyse and synthesise customers sales data into meaningful and insightful reports and communication to inform commercial approach.
- Support current and future development of infrastructure (processes & tools) to drive real and sustained pricing performance and comply with divisional pricing policy.
- Train and support business partners in the use of those infrastructures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in EMEA and globally to drive effective pricing execution and performance.
- Ensure that Cook’s Code of Conducts considered in all business matters carried out on Cook’s behalf.
Qualifications:
- 3rd Level Qualification in related field and/or equivalent experience desired.
- Proficiency in BI and creative programs such as Qlik highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
- Experience with Cook internal systems (BI, ESKOS & Fides) advantageous.
- Previous experience in finance or sales analysis/operations preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; including business process and data analytics; able to construct and execute multiple complex analyses.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks across different groups.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: previous experience of successfully influencing colleagues across divisions and departments.
- Previous experience of working successfully within cross country and virtual team is an advantage.
- Fluency in one or more European languages as well as English preferred.
- Availability and willingness to travel on company business.
