We are looking to hire a Business Analyst to join our Project Management team on a 12 month FTC. The Business Analyst will join the close-knit PMO team to deliver a diverse portfolio of projects on time and within budget and scope. They will have experience defining and thoroughly documenting business requirements, functions and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement through services and technology, and ensuring change is successfully embedded. They should be highly skilled at getting the best out of the people and projects that they oversee and will “get their hands dirty” to get things done if necessary and thrive when planning projects and working with project teams.
The primary focus of this role will be collaborating with the current Business Analyst on the delivery of our new 3E Practice Management System. This substantial and firm-critical programme is currently in Data Conversion 1 (of 3) and the need for custom development and business process changes has been flagged. The incoming Business Analyst will quickly and confidently dive in to get up to speed on the project, establish relationships, and assume responsibility as the lead analyst on identified workstreams within the programme.
Some of the main responsibilities for this role include:
- Work closely with the current Forsters Business Analyst on the project to define areas of focus and ways of working, to share the work while providing a seamless service to the project.
- Work with project stakeholders to ensure that cost-effective, timely and appropriate solutions are implemented according to the firm’s needs and requirements.
- Establish and maintain trusting, collaborative relationships and communication lines across all business areas and vendors.
- Analyse how existing and proposed products and services can be better utilised and/or adopted by users.
- Liaise with lawyers and business services teams to understand their operational processes, procedures, organisational structure, and issues.
- Analyse and document business processes, identifying alternative solutions and new approaches where appropriate.
- Employ written and verbal communication that clearly explains technical concepts using non-technical language.
- Effectively communicate plans, insights and results to stakeholders: e.g. written communications, leading presentations, chairing workshops, and other means as appropriate.
- Compile comprehensive business cases for evaluation by the Project Board and varying levels within the organisation.
