As a Technical Business Analyst, you will be part of a newly formed team that is focused on developing a cutting-edge analytic platform and deploying advanced machine learning models to improve health outcomes for our members. You will be a critical member of the team that will document business requirements and translate them into technical requirements for our Data Engineering, Data Science and Business Intelligence teams that will support advanced solutions to improve health outcomes for our members.

Primary Responsibilities of Technical Business Analyst:
- Work with business partners to define and document business and technical requirements for data and analytics projects, this includes the documentation of data flows and data mapping from source systems into our analytic platform.
- Partner with Compliance and Privacy team to ensure the dataset have proper member level de-identification that complies with existing customer contracts.
- Create user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate the Daily Scrum meetings and Sprint Retrospective meetings with the Scrum Team.
- Facilitate the Sprint Planning and Sprint Review meetings with the Scrum Team and project stakeholders.
- Own issue and risk management for your projects, solving problems and working to remove impediments to both the team and the overall release
- Deliver regular updates to executive stakeholders
- Coach/mentor Scrum team members on Agile best practices
- Participate and contribute to weekly Data Governance meetings with team leads and project stakeholders.
- Document data ingestion updates to the wider STARs team on a regular basis.
- Assist with QA of features once implemented.
Required Qualifications of Technical Business Analyst:
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts
- SQL querying experience
- Experience with Agile methodology including Agile tools (e.g. Rally, Jira)
- Experience with analyzing and documenting requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Stakeholder management experience
- Ability to analyse data, drive to root cause issue, identify trends, problem solve and provide key recommendations based on analysis
- Graduate degree or equivalent qualification
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
Preferred Qualifications of Technical Business Analyst:
- Understanding of HIVE and its components within Big Data
- Experience with HIPAA and data de-identification methodologies
- Healthcare/Pharmacy experience
- Exposure to Machine Learning models/projects
