The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst (BA) role is to support the realization of value through understanding applicable business processes, followed by the identification, implementation, and realization of appropriate and right-sized Information Technology (IT) solutions at the Global Animal Health Manufacturing (GAHM) site operations. IT improvements and innovations to be realized will be a combination of ‘fit for purpose’ globally and locally driven solutions, always with a view to creating optimal value for the overall corporation.
The Business Analyst GAHM IT will act as a bridge between business challenges and technology solutions, will work under the leadership of the GAHM IT - ANZ Business Technology Partner, and will maintain a close relationship with a network of global platforms and teams in Animal Health (AH) and Digital within our company’s Manufacturing Department as well as the automation and operational teams at the site. Additionally, the BA GAHM IT will assure full and continuous compliance with regulatory and company requirements, for example, CSV and SDLC.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include, however not limited to:
- Leadership – Support, design, and implement strategic, aligned, and compliant solutions to support business initiatives. Support the leadership vision, strategy, and policy for building a high-performance engagement model with the business units.
- Support building, designing, examining, and implementing well-organized and structured IT systems.
- Responsible for facilitating user-centric outcomes in daily operations, projects and product teams, including training and communication on how to use the systems.
- Planning, monitoring, organizing, and overseeing projects.
- Relationships - Build exceptional relationships with stakeholders that are focused on meeting the business needs.
- Global - Ensure that the solutions are aligned with AH IT platforms and support our company’s GAHM strategy.
- Diversity - Respect diversity on project teams, different perspectives, ideas, and knowledge while working towards a common goal.
- Change Management—Adopt high-quality change management practices with customers and stakeholders and implement sustainable solutions. Be a role model of our Company’s Leadership Behaviours.
- Develop domain expertise in key Supply Chain and Manufacturing business processes, systems, and data.
- Support standardization of IT and automation systems implementation, aligned with both the deployment of new or upgraded manufacturing assets and the retrofit of integration with existing automated assets.
- Accountable for supporting and configuring relevant Technologies, ensuring appropriate support for operations and compliance with regulatory, safety, cyber security, business continuity, and financial requirements.
- Align with sites to implement modernization projects as part of a broader GAHM IT modernization program based on approved scope and timeline.
- Applying standard systems life cycle and other IT processes/methods, practices, and techniques to deliver process integration solutions.
- Ensures the operational stability, maintenance, performance, and compliance of a product or an application in production.
What You Must have
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, information systems or related discipline, or equivalent and extensive related project experience.
- One to three years of experience in IT and in business process design.
- Experience with information technology systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of biological science processes and methods to inform information systems.
- Knowledge of process redesign methods (examples: business process re-engineering, Six Sigma, or total quality management).
- Knowledge of facilitation and Awareness of organization change management.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
- Strong business acumen, and easy rapport with peers and executives.
- Able to think out of the box on situation-dependent issues;
- Organizational savvy; leveraging social networks to escape hierarchy. Adept at managing diverse relationships across expertise, geography, and culture.
- Open and receptive to listening, and discerning pain points; Embraces new ideas, and evidence and fosters a collaborative atmosphere.
- Eager to participate in Modernization or Digitization initiatives in Manufacturing Shop Floor with emerging technologies such as IoT. Also participate in the integration and management of Manufacturing Systems in Pharma/Biopharma/Medical Devices.
Preferred:
- Exposure to consulting industry preferred
- Experience managing projects
- Situational analysis and decision-making abilities
- Ability to engage with software vendors and third-party solutions integrators
