Business Analyst (Housing)
Salary: Circa £50,000
Contract: 12 month fixed-term contract, Full time (35 hours per week)
Location: Winchester / Ealing / Staines (Hybrid role with the ability to work from home – regular office attendance in Ealing for collaboration)

About the role
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for providing Business Analysis support and expertise to the various programmes of works within Project Services overall change portfolio. You will identify business requirements through various standard BA techniques and analytical reasoning. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to understand the vision, requirements, and the desired future state, which will be captured in clear business process maps, requirements, and personas.
More about the role Analyse current (“As is”) processes and conduct stakeholder analysis to identify cross-functional business areas, process owners, and SME’s needed to define the future (“To-Be”) processes for the relevant service area, utilising the most suitable BA tools and techniques.
- Work collaboratively with Business SME’s to understand, capture, and document requirements and user stories. Analyse business areas and define future business processes at a high standard that facilitate enhanced ways of working, efficiency, and transformation.
- Organise, prepare, and conduct workshops with senior stakeholders from various departments, including Heads of Service, process owners, and SME’s from the relevant business areas.
- Deliver business analysis according to the standard methodology, planning activities to meet deadlines and ensure outputs meet required standards.
- Demonstrate positive and proactive behaviours, keep the Project Manager and BA team manager updated on progress, and promptly communicate potential risks and issues affecting delivery.
- Collaborate to evaluate and share best practices, fostering continuous improvement in working methods, including participation in periodic peer reviews.
More about you
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English (Grades A*-C)
- Professional Business Analysis qualification (or equivalent.)
- Experience in Housing or Local Authority with a deep understanding of the sector.
- Experience of industry standard Business Analysis tools and techniques, including requirements gathering and traceability, Business process mapping (L4), user stories and personas.
- Proven experience of delivery within large projects in corporate environments that include people / organisation, process and technology changes.
- Proven experience of quantitative analysis and using standard MS Office tools.
