We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst.
The Role:
This role is responsible for providing timely information, insight and analysis across the business to support critical decision-making on the basis of data gathered from a variety of different systems using PowerBI.
We are looking for an energetic, passionate and ambitious professional with knowledge of SQL and data visualisation tools, who is comfortable with working with stakeholders from finance, marketing, product and sales. You will need to be a natural problem solver and have strong commercial awareness as part of your responsibility will involve the development of forecasts and analysis of the performance of marketing and other business initiatives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and development of a suite of dashboards for every department. You will need to be self-motivated, have excellent attention to detail and be able to demonstrate the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively towards the achievement of short- and long-term goals.
This role reports directly to our Product and Operations Director.
Responsibilities:
- Own the management information in the business, proactively monitoring and troubleshooting datasets, dashboards, reports and data quality.
- Design and develop reports, dashboards and data analyses using the tools and data available to meet business needs.
- Support the development of forecasts and business plans.
- Be the expert in the business in the use of the selected business intelligence platform and provide support and ad-hoc training to business users.
- Partner with different functions to assess their needs and challenges and to proactively identify solutions to improve their decision making.
- Investigate and integrate new data sources as required, working with technical and business stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with best practice and with the latest techniques in data analysis.
Skills required:
- Experience of data modelling and data integration in a commercial environment.
- Extraordinary analytical skills and experience working on data analytics projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- An understanding of data visualisation tools and ability to use advanced data access tools (e.g. SQL).
- Ambitious self-starter.
- Confident, thorough and tenacious.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships across different departments.
- Very strong attention to detail, and strong commercial awareness.
- Enjoys a challenge.
- E-commerce experience beneficial.
