PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
- To effectively identify, manage and document the data requirements, transitional solutions and test cases within a data transformation project.
- To support the achievement of project objectives and an outcome based success criteria including on time, cost, and user experience.
- To build strong relationships with and act as a key liaison between the project group and the business units impacted by the project .
- To influence the development and implementation of the required solutions to maximise the benefits of the new systems and new ways of working.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and/or maintain processes for requirements gathering, solution development , test case recording and change control management.
- Understand and capture business and user requirements with a specific focus on historical data solutions, transitional issues and “to be” processes.
- Identify and engage with stakeholders to ensure visibility of the changes required and the project activity .
- Capture user requirements in a detailed, unambiguous functional specification, capable of being used by developers to develop the required change tooling.
- Ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained through requirements gathering, specification test case recording and change control processes.
- Ensure the appropriate identification and management of risks, issues and assigned mitigating actions .
- Work with the Head of Migrations to achieve the required timescales for requirement identification, solution development and testing.
- Work with the Data Owner to identify data issues, solutions and prioritisation of any required data cleanse activity.
- Work with the Test Lead to ensure test plans and test scripts are appropriate to test each component and demonstrate the business condition under test with the expected results.
- Work with the testing team to ensure a collective understanding of the test cases, test scenarios and outcomes.
- Document and monitor any change requests resulting from changes in business needs, UAT discovery or issues in original specifications.
- Build relationships and communicate effectively with key stakeholders within the project lifecycle and ensure an open two-way communication channel is maintained between all aspects of the business.
- Suggest improvements to current business practise and project methodology and recommend appropriate alternative solutions / methods to achieve the required outcomes.
- Utilise a variety of communication methods ( including workshops and presentations ) to project and make visible project activity, requirements and plans.
- Provide feedback to the development and testing teams and ensure the work is conducted in accordance with the business requirements and the quality requirements.
- Work with the Business Readiness leads and training department to ensure that training material accurately reflects changes to systems and/or processes.
- Ensure department procedures are kept up to date and reflective of current activities, risks, and controls.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience of project management methodologies.
- Experience of undertaking a business analyst role within a Financial Services Transformation Change / Migration programme.
- Proven history of outcome based delivery against commercial timeframes.
- Experience of IT change management, change cycle and delivery.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
