Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) are seeking a Business Analyst who can confidently work within an Agile or Waterfall team, to deliver a variety of different products and service improvements. You must be an excellent communicator and able to work with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be able to work closely with stakeholders using different techniques such as workshops or interviews, amongst others, to be able to understand their needs. You will be able to translate these into requirements or user stories that can be used by your team to progress delivery. You will be experienced in process mapping and be able to identify areas for improvement whilst providing justification for these changes.

Your Role

You will be able to understand and manage complex requirements and collaborate with varying teams whilst building the relationships with other business areas to understand their current challenges and future aspirations. You will have natural enquiring mind to investigate and discover the business solutions. You will be self-motivated and able to work independently.

In addition to this, you will demonstrate the skills and experience in the following key areas:

Identifies both functional and non-functional requirements
Responsible for ensuring that requirements are clearly understood and interpreted into signed off deliverables.
Ability to understands the Business Strategy and teams’ strategic objectives and how you can align changes to them.
Solve and unblock issues between teams or departments.
Expert in a range of agile, waterfall and hybrid Business Analysis techniques.
Experience of coordinating and managing workshops with a range of stakeholders.
Contribute to the development and improvement of team practices.

What you’ll bring

What you do and how you do it is important whatever type of role you work in at TfGM and even small behaviours and actions can have a really big impact. At TfGM, our behaviours bring to life our values of Deliver, Care and Adapt.

You must be able to work within Digital and Transformation environments, delivering both technical and non-technical change. You should have experience in working within multi-functional teams comprising of Delivery Managers, Architects, Developers, and Testers. Experience in the Transport or Public Sector would be an advantage.

What we can offer you

This is a permanent role and comes with a salary of £50,150 - £54,607 per annum depending on experience. This is comprised of base salary plus market supplement, (£40,650 - £45,107 + plus MFS £9,500, the market supplement is paid monthly and reviewed annually).
