Business Analyst

Location: Remote (Chicagoland area)

Hours: Part-time (20-25 hours per week)

Beaird Group, a Naperville, IL-based consulting firm, is looking for a Business Analyst to support our client in Lombard, IL. This is a part-time (20-25) hours per week, remote position that must be located within the Chicagoland area.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Business Analyst to provide support for our National Account Recycling Team. The successful candidate will be a good problem solver with strong technical skills, including the ability to work in multiple applications simultaneously. The Business Analyst plays a crucial role in identifying business needs, analyzing processes, and recommending solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify and prioritize functional and technical needs and requirements.
Gather, validate and document business requirements.
Extract and analyze large data sets using proprietary software.
Compile charts, tables, and other elements of data visualization.
Create models to support business decisions and process improvements.
Understand business strategies, goals, and requirements.
Identify issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outline business impacts.
Forecast, budget, and perform both variance analysis and financial analysis.

Qualifications:

Competency in Microsoft applications including Word and Outlook,
Intermediate/advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, VLOOKUPS)
Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to effectively communicate, and work with cross-functional team members and management.
Skilled at updating, implementing and maintaining procedures
Ability to monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects
Capability to attend quarterly meetings in person.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Prior experience as a Business Analyst preferred
Accounting/Financial experience a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
