The role

Huon’s IT department has an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems and Applications Analyst to join their dynamic team! This position plays a critical role in supporting and administering Huon’s business systems and information resources.

Working Monday to Friday, you will engage with a range of business stakeholders and external service providers to ensure seamless application support and system optimisation. Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing specialised technical expertise in business applications, data management, and enterprise reporting.
Proactively identifying and implementing updates and improvements to Huon’s digital solutions.
Conducting business analysis for the development of new solutions, assisting in the planning, development, and delivery of new or enhanced services.
Managing the transition of new or changed IT systems and applications through both testing and production environments.
Maintaining current documentation related to systems and applications.
Contributing to productivity improvements for internal customers.

About you

Proven experience providing application support in a variety of applications, including SAP, Asset Management, Food Processing and Aquaculture systems.
Experience in Microsoft database and development platforms, SQL queries and stored procedures.
Experience designing and deploying analytical reports, including experience with Microsoft SQL Reporting Services or similar development tools.
Strong problem analysis and resolution skills, with a focus on effective troubleshooting.
Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience in the Aquaculture industry would be a bonus.
