The role:
Daimler Truck Financial Services has a new and exciting 2 year contract opportunity for a driven and strategic Senior Business Analyst. Based at our Head Office in Mulgrave, and in a critical role within the Information Technology (IT) team, you will be accountable for managing the collation, validation and traceability of business requirements for a complex and new project due to kick off in January, from initiation through to completion. This role will manage and lead business analysis activities, outputs on the project, and will need to steer the direction, quality and outputs of business analysts assigned to the project.
Reporting into the Senior Project Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and strategically guide the collection, validation, and documentation of business requirements that align with Daimler Truck Financial Service’s strategic objectives and compliance standards, focusing on end-to-end alignment across project phases.
- Shape and refine business requirements to maximize compatibility with COTS solutions and minimize customizations, enabling future scalability, cost-effectiveness, and vendor support.
- Engage with stakeholders to critically evaluate legacy systems, processes, and assumptions, focusing on defining requirements that not only support current objectives but align with Daimler’s long-term strategic vision for automation and digital transformation.
- Conduct workshops and meetings to elicit and clarify requirements, pushing for business process alignment with the new systems and eliminating outdated workflows
- Work with business units to shape business processes that align with new system functionalities
- When deemed necessary, document and map current business processes
- Assess the impact of any process changes on the organisational structure, compliance obligations and customer satisfaction
- Develop high-quality documentation, including business requirement documents (BRD), process flows, and user stories, ensuring clarity and align
- Ensure that business requirements and processes meet all legal, regulatory, and security standards across both the NZ and AU markets
- Actively collaborate with the change management team to drive adoption of new processes, providing insight into the integration of legacy workflows where necessary to balance continuity and innovation. Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
