Senior Business Analyst
Full Time Opportunity
The Strategy Enablement team focuses on facilitating the management of the book of work that cuts across multiple agile teams in our new operating model. This function will manage the portfolio narrative for our annual strategic initiatives.
The team is responsible for all of Greenstone's strategic projects, ensuring that the business operates at an optimal level without disruption to our customers.
Our Senior Business Analyst plays a crucial role in the analysis of business processes and systems, gathering and documenting requirements for various projects and portfolio demand requests, and working across the business value chain to drive solutions and outcomes
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in building partnership and evaluating business needs for strategic initiatives
- Highly developed analytical skills (experience typically in the order of 7-10 years) with respect to business processes and systems to map business model and solution
- Highly experienced in requirements management - understanding of organisational goals and facilitating forums across departments to define and document the scope for complex time critical initiatives
- Demonstrated problem solving, decision making, and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact and articulate within a diverse group of subject matter experts and senior members
- Ability to gather and analyse data to draw out insights and recommend actions for improvement
- Proven ability to motivate and influence stakeholders to gain agreement to proposed solutions, mediate difficult negotiations to define project's scope
- Proven ability to respectfully challenge points of view and promotes mutual understanding with stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Able to exude enthusiasm and energy
- Proficient in using collaboration and documentation tools: (JIRA (or similar), Confluence (or similar), MS Project, MS Teams, and other Microsoft applications i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Visio)
- Tertiary qualifications at degree level in business, information systems or equivalent
Desirable
- Knowledge of financial services industry
- Understanding of SQLPrior experience using JIRA and/or Azure DevOps.
