Who we are
Selwood Housing Group is a not-for-profit housing association committed to providing affordable local homes for our customers. We have nearly 7,000 homes for affordable rent and shared ownership in Wiltshire, Somerset and Bath and North-East Somerset and employ over 300 staff from our offices in Trowbridge and Melksham.
The role
Selwood Housing are currently going through a large-scale digital transformation and we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst who's passionate about making a difference.
We're a team that's always striving to improve our products and processes. As a Business Analyst, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our services meet the needs of our customers and the wider organisation.
Working alongside our current team of four, you collaborate closely with stakeholders and the solutions development team, to gather requirements, create user stories, and design, test, and deploy business improvements.
This could be anything from small incremental improvements through to large scale Dynamics 365 projects, so there will be plenty of variation and a lot of opportunity to affect real change and implement new technologies.
We value flexibility and many of the team will work remotely during the week. That being said, we also see the value in bumping heads, so we get together in the office at least once a week to share ideas and make sure we are on track.
If you're a problem-solver with a knack for communication and a passion for continuous improvement, we want to hear from you!
What we need
Whilst we are open to all kinds of background, to do well in this role you will likely need:
- Previous experience in a BA role and a relevant certification (IIBA or BCS)
- Microsoft stack knowledge including Dynamics 365 and Azure
- A good understanding of the SDLC
- Demonstrable experience running workshops, requirements gathering (functional and non-functional) and producing user
- Experience leading user acceptance testing and providing post implementation support
- Proven track record of change management and continuous improvement
- Experience of process re-engineering
- Savvy communicator with exceptional soft skills, including the ability to speak about both technical and business concerns
Although it is not essential, it would also be hugely beneficial if you had experience within social housing or a local authority.
We offer excellent benefits, including:
- 27 days holiday plus bank holidays
- 2 paid gifted days; one for your birthday and one over Christmas
- Buy / sell up to 1 weeks holiday
- Life assurance
- Flexible working opportunities – giving you flexibility on how, where and when you work to promote a better work/life balance
- Competitive pension (you pay 4%, we pay 9%)
- Cycle to work scheme
If you're looking for excellent career progression, a supportive and experienced team, and varied work that benefits the local community, look no further.
At Selwood, we strive to respect the diversity of our staff. We care deeply about inclusivity and encourage candidates from all backgrounds, demographics, and identities to apply.
We are a Disability Confident employer and will do our very best to provide any adjustments, access and equipment you feel you may need throughout the interview process, and during your employment with us.
We’re keen to build a supportive and rewarding environment, free from discrimination, that works for everyone.
