Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Systems Analyst to join our team for the development of our analytics platform. This role will focus primarily on the backend of the system, with some involvement in front-end visualizations. You will collaborate closely with our outsourced development partner and internal stakeholders to define requirements, optimize data processes, and ensure the platform meets business and user needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Analysis & Design:
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document backend requirements for data processing, storage, and integration.
- Data Mapping: Work with data architects to define data models and mapping processes, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for visualizations.
- Backend Development Support: Assist in designing and optimizing backend processes, including data ingestion, transformation, and storage, to support analytical functions.
- User Interaction: Provide input on front-end user experience, ensuring that visualizations align with backend data capabilities and enhance usability.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including data flow diagrams, user stories, functional specifications, and technical requirements.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Develop and execute test plans for backend functionalities, coordinate UAT sessions, and gather feedback to validate that the system meets user needs.
- Change Management: Manage change requests related to backend systems and ensure proper documentation and communication of changes.
- Training and Support: Develop training materials and assist in training sessions for end-users, particularly focusing on how backend functionalities support front-end visualizations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in analytics and data management, making recommendations for improvements to our processes and tools..
Qualifications:

Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with system integration, APIs, and enterprise-level software solutions.
- Understanding of Agile or Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
