Purpose of the role:
The Technical Business Analyst will join the Technical Infrastructure department to bridge business needs and technology solutions. This role involves gathering requirements, proposing solutions, validating designs, and coordinating testing activities. The analyst will promote best practices to support infrastructure teams and ensure stakeholder needs are met. We seek a candidate with strong experience in data analysis, requirements gathering, and agile methodologies to drive cohesive project outcomes by engaging stakeholders and integrating design elements.
The role
Requirements Gathering & Solution Design:
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and experts.
- Conduct research through interviews, surveys, and analytics.
- Create business process maps for clarity.
- Translate requirements into user stories and specs for IT.
Change Impact Assessment & Testing:
- Manage change requests to balance quality, cost, and timeliness.
- Support testing to ensure solutions meet requirements.
- Monitor post-implementation changes for success.
Project & Program Delivery:
- Ensure documentation reflects business needs and guidelines.
- Maintain accountability for deliverables and communication.
- Lead elaboration sessions and support sprint planning.
Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement:
- Build positive stakeholder relationships and collaborate.
- Recommend process improvements and promote continuous improvement.
- Network with resources to integrate best practices.
Post-Implementation Support:
- Develop policies, procedures, and training materials as needed.
- Ensure the Support & Testing Team is equipped to assist with changes.
What experience you’ll bring
SKILLS
- Proficient in business process modeling and data models.
- Experience in regulated environments is a plus.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Effective team collaboration with an inclusive approach.
- Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in requirements elicitation, facilitation, and presentations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience in managing user acceptance testing.
EXPERIENCE
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Financial services experience is desirable but not required.
- Experience with infrastructure projects is a plus.
- Proficient in Jira and Confluence.
- Comfortable using Google Suite for collaboration.
- Experience working closely with developers, testers, and designers.
- 3-5 years as a Business Analyst, especially in transformation programs and agile environments.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, Agile BA) is desirable.
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field are preferred but not essential.
