Pioneer Consulting Asia-Pacific (PCA) is a boutique international management consultancy specializing in the telecoms, media, gaming, ePayments, digital banking, emerging digital ecosystems and other digital developments. We work with leading telcos and content providers across Asia-Pacific – our client portfolio includes both challengers and established players like Sony, BBC, and 21st Century Fox (Disney) as well as telcos like Globe, XL Axiata, and others.
PCA is looking for full-time business analysts to join our Singapore strategy consulting practice to drive the development and delivery of consulting engagements.
What You'll Do
As a business analyst, you'll gain first-hand experience in consulting as part of a team of 3-5. Our analysts are staffed on different engagements, dealing with different subjects, and you will have the opportunity to gain experience in different sectors as a result. You will play an active role in all aspects of our consulting engagements, including:
Conducting market and competitor research, analysing information, and developing insights
Developing recommendations
Interviewing and liaising with clients
Preparing client deliverables (including Powerpoint presentations, written reports, and data models)
Business development activities, such as proposal development
Authoring thought leadership articles on major industry trends and developments
Business analysts receive coaching and mentoring from colleagues at different seniority levels. This includes an introduction to commonly used consulting frameworks and methodologies, and training in research strategies, presentation development, and communication skills.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking out for applicants who:
Hold at least a bachelor's degree in business management, economics, engineering, marketing or similar, and graduated at the Second Upper / Honours (Distinction) / Cum Laude level or above. We also welcome postgraduate applicants at the MBA level.
Are numerate and comfortable with spreadsheet modelling
Capable of conducting secondary market and industry research
Experienced in producing quality Powerpoint presentations quickly
In addition, applicants should also:
Be excited to work in a fast-growing, small office with big clients
Have a strong command of spoken and written English
Be highly motivated and a self-starter, with an output-focused mindset
Be comfortable with working a small office without too much supervision, and dealing with consultants / managers in other countries
Have excellent communication, inter-personal skills and who are prepared to put forward ideas and ask questions
Prior experience in consulting and in the telecoms and media industry will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
PCA recruits analysts from diverse backgrounds and assesses all applications on a case-by-case basis – we welcome applications from candidates who do not entirely fit this profile.
