As an Associate Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for providing useful, suitable, and accurate reports and dashboards using Power BI. Combining technical ability with business knowledge and best practice, you provide valuable insight to our colleagues and departments to allow WMFTS to become data-driven.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Develop, automate and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to visualise key metrics and KPIs.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret large datasets to identify trends and insights.
- Understand business processes and objectives to guide data analysis efforts.
- Utilise Power BI functionalities (DAX, data modeling, advanced visualizations) for actionable insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into efficient models.
- Perform data cleansing and transformation to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Implement best practices for data visualisation and continuously optimise dashboards.
- Maintain data governance standards and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Document data sources, definitions, and processes for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Provide training and support to end-users to maximize adoption and utilization of Power BI solutions.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Basic understanding of business systems such as ERP, CRM, and PIM.
- Basic understanding and experience of DAX, SQL, Power BI visualisations, modelling, and transformations.
- Experience connecting Power BI to Azure Data Services and SQL Server Analysis Services
- Experience in understanding business requirements and translating the requirements into a suitable solution
- Understanding of data management and data governance principles and processes.
- Ability to identify and implement creative solutions to complex reporting and dashboard problems.
- Either working towards or successfully passed the PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst exam.
